Herb, The Vegetarian Dragon

Herb, The Vegetarian Dragon is a fascinating story, it is set in a far away land where dragons bring destruction and death to the people who live in Castle Dark. However, one dragon is different. Herb prefers to tend his vegetable patch than raid the helpless Castle Dark, for Herb is a vegetarian. He is a lovable character who is prepared to stand up for what he believes in even when death faces him...

This is an exciting tale, it shows children how to live in harmony and peace with each other and I would recommend it to all readers, young and old.

The Boy Who Grew Flowers

The boy who grew flowers is a magical tale about a young boy, Rink Bowagon who comes from an eccentric family, who all have special talents. Rink's talent is the most wonderful of all, and therefore he is ignored, and feared among his classmates. Rink copes with this loneliness and when a new girl comes along he can finaly use his odd family to help her out in a difficult situation.

It is an excellent, well written story which teaches children about the importance of friendship and the value of acceptance.
