October Newsletter
New Releases
The most recent release from Barefoot Books celebrates Autumn and the Harvest Season.
Driving my Tractor has been reviewed on the Barefoot Books Website:

You'll learn about the land and where food comes from. It's in Hardback and come with a Sing-along CD, song by Mark Collins (who also song the Port Side Pirates song). It combines farmyard animals with simple counting skills and is guaranteed to keep any early reader entertained.
Also in Hardback are Starlight Sailor and Winter Shadow.
Starlight Sailor tells the story of a young boy and his dog who set sail to distant lands in the enchanting dream landscape, where singing mermaids, majestic whales and flying dragons are brought to life. (suitable for ages 2-6).
Winter Shadow is only the second chapter book published by Barefoot Books and describes a young girl's friendship with a wolf cub. It explores the delicate balance between humans and nature, and between the individual and community. (suitable for ages 8 and upwards).

I've got quite a few bookings for November, so if you are involved in a fundraising event and would like me to come along and help out, please let me know soon.
Parties
I am always looking for hostesses to host Barefoot Books parties - if you are interested please drop me a line - might be a good opportunity to get some friends together and do some Christmas shopping! I have also diversified, somewhat, and can now offer Fair Trade Parties, either alongside the Books or on their own - let me know if you're interested. You can see a sample of the bags I sell at www.abbeyfairtrade.co.uk, but I'm also planning on offering jewellery, cards and some Christmas gifts.
Prize Draw
The winner of the September Prize Draw was Audrey Cunningham from Markinch - congratulations! She will receive £15 worth of Barefoot Books and Gifts.
